Boys’ basketball

Pleasure Ridge Park teammates Kerry Benson and Adam Delph each had a double-double in an 82-61 win over Lincoln County in the second round of the Hoopin' It Up Holiday Classic at South Laurel on Wednesday. Benson had 24 points and 14 rebounds, and Delph had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Delph then scored 21 points and Benson had 21 points and 17 rebounds in a 60-57 win over South Laurel in the final on Friday.

Moore’s Jazzmar Ferguson exploded with 31 points in a 72-61 win over Caverna in the third-place game of the Citizens First Holiday Classic at Bowling Green on Wednesday.

Waggener’s Dayvon Sloan hit five three-pointers and scored 30 points in an 85-51 win over Harrison County in the Henry County Invitational on Wednesday.

Fern Creek’s Eric Mosley also hit five three-pointers and scored 28 points in a 54-52 loss to Boyle County in the first round of the Lexington Christian Invitational on Thursday.

Fairdale’s Reggie Smith had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 71-61 win over Warren Central in the third-place game of the King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic on Tuesday.

Davin Anderson scored 21 of his 23 points in the second half of Doss’ 89-75 win over Rose Hill in the KOB fifth-place game on Tuesday.

Dominique Spearman hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to push Iroquois over Ashland Blazer 75-74 in the Country Music Highway Classic final at Johnson Central on Saturday.

Defending state champion Jeffersontown’s Thomas Coleman had 14 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocks in a 52-38 win over Barberton (Ohio) in the Gaslight Holiday Classic final on Friday.


Girls’ basketball

Sacred Heart’s Sarah Miles scored a career-high 22 points in a 68-40 win over Mason County in the second round of the Fifth Third Bank Prime Time Classic at Lexington Catholic on Thursday. Teammate Elizabeth Campbell had a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds in a 69-55 loss to LexCath in the semifinals on Saturday.

Butler’s Tia Gibbs scored 23 points in a 51-48 win over Wayne County in the first round of the Fifth Third Bank Prime Time Classic on Wednesday and had 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 49-40 win over Manual in the second round on Thursday.

Christian Academy’s Antonita Slaughter had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 52-44 win over Harpeth (Tenn.) in the second round of the Fifth Third Bank Prime Time Classic on Thursday and scored 29 points in a 76-68 loss to LexCath in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Therese Montano’s layup as time expired in overtime lifted Mercy over Clark County 53-52 in the first round of the Fifth Third Bank Prime Time Classic on Wednesday. Teammates Katie Wiedmar and Hope Thomas scored 26 and 23 points, respectively, in an 86-61 win over Rose Hill in the losers’ bracket on Friday.

Manual’s Brittany Wilson scored 22 of her 27 points in the second half of a 75-68 win over Mason County in the losers’ bracket of the Fifth Third Bank Prime Time Classic on Friday.

Western’s Laessence Buckner scored 47 points in two games in the Portland Christian Holiday Classic. She had a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds in a 58-32 win over Shawnee on Monday and scored 23 in a 41-29 win over Restoration Christian (Ind.) in the final on Tuesday.

Holy Cross’ Megan Davis scored 27 points in a 71-59 loss to Lawrence County in the second round of the Scott County Invitational on Friday.

Ballard’s Jade Barber scored 23 points in a 59-46 win over Owensboro in the first round of the Scott County Invitational on Thursday.

Jersharra Willis accounted for 60 percent of Pleasure Ridge Park’s points in a 65-40 loss to Male in the Lady Dragon Hoopfest at South Oldham on Monday, scoring 24, and she had 19 points in a 49-34 win over Waggener in the fifth-place game on Wednesday.

Male’s Jasmine Hamilton hit four three-pointers and scored 20 points in a 56-29 win over North Oldham in the Lady Dragon Hoopfest semifinals on Tuesday.

Eastern’s Tesha Wright scored 25 points in a 57-47 win over St. Mary in the second round of the Shively Sporting Goods Invitational at Central Hardin on Thursday.

Atherton’s Samantha Coleman scored 21 points in 52-43 win over Russell County in the first round of the First Citizens Bank Classic at North Bullitt on Wednesday.

Whitefield Academy’s Kristen McLaurin hit four three-pointers and scored 24 points in an 81-22 win over Portland Christian on Thursday.

Moore’s Whitney Duncan hit five three-pointers and scored 19 points in a 70-41 win over Garrard County in the first round of the KFC/Arby’s Classic on Thursday.


Wrestling

Myron Bradbury (103), Dan Smith (112), Grant Ohlmann (125), and John Florence (171) each went unbeaten in five matches as Trinity went 4-1 in the Central Hardin Bruin Duals on Saturday, finishing behind LaRue County.
