Boys’ basketball

Armani Randolph scored more than half of Kentucky Country Day’s points in a 93-82 loss to Atherton on Monday, hitting seven three-pointers and 14 of 15 free throws for 45 points, and he had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 59-40 win over Restoration Christian of Indiana on Thursday.

Jeff Brooks had two double-doubles for Doss with 19 points and 18 rebounds in a 73-51 win over Seneca on Tuesday and 19 points and 16 rebounds in a 76-56 loss to Bryan Station on Saturday.

Trinity’s Tanner Jacobs also had two double-doubles with 18 points and 18 rebounds in a 65-40 win over DeSales on Tuesday and 24 points and 18 rebounds in a 64-58 win over St. Xavier on Friday.

St. Xavier’s Lee Steiden scored 26 points in a 67-62 loss to South Oldham on Tuesday and scored another 26 in the loss to Trinity.

Pleasure Ridge Park’s Adam Delph scored 28 points in an 87-61 win over Moore on Thursday. Teammate Kerry Benson scored 32 points in a 76-57 win over Elizabethtown on Saturday.

Fern Creek’s Eric Mosley scored 29 points and teammate Chris Duncan had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds in the loss to Pleasure Ridge Park.

Tommy Batton’s three-pointer at the buzzer lifted Manual to a 72-69 win over Iroquois on Tuesday. Antonio Sullivan scored 28 points for Iroquois.

Valley’s Moe Stone had 29 points and 15 rebounds in a 62-57 loss to Holy Cross on Tuesday.

Moore’s Jazzmar Ferguson scored 25 points in a 72-58 win over Southern on Tuesday.

Zayd Abukar scored 26 points for St. Francis in a 76-54 loss to Collegiate on Thursday.


Girls’ basketball

Sacred Heart’s Elizabeth Campbell nearly had a triple-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds and nine blocks in a 62-46 win over Elizabethtown in the semifinals of the Louisville Invitational Tournament at Bellarmine University on Saturday. The Valkyries then beat Manual to win the title that night.

Manual’s Brittany Wilson had a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds and surpassed 1,000 career points during a 69-63 win over Scott County in the LIT semifinals. She also had double-doubles with 14 points and 15 rebounds in a 50-47 win over Fairdale in the second round and 27 points and 10 rebounds in a 56-50 win over Henderson County in the quarterfinals.

Fairdale’s Whitley Briggs had a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds in a 75-71 win over Iroquois in the first round of the LIT on Tuesday. Adia Mathies had a double-double for Iroquois, posting 25 points and 17 rebounds.

Assumption’s Kelsey Smith hit seven three-pointers and scored a career-high 23 points in a 75-63 loss to Scott County in the LIT quarterfinals on Friday.

Moore’s Chiquita Evans hit seven three-pointers and scored 29 points in a 69-43 win over Ballard in the first round of the LIT on Tuesday. Ballard’s Jade Barber had a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Shawna Culver’s free throw with less than one second left in overtime pushed Mercy past Butler 52-51 in the first round of the LIT on Tuesday.

Starkisha Black scored 30 points, 71.4 percent of the total St. Francis had, in a 42-35 win over Beth Haven on Thursday.

Ashley Jacob had a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds in a 59-54 overtime win over Male on Thursday.

Shawnee’s Aresha Guinn scored 25 points in a 48-31 win over St. Francis on Saturday.


Wrestling

Eastern teammates Blake Kraft (130 pounds), Justin Davis (135 pounds), and Ben Rupp (171 pounds) won their respective weight classes as the Eagles finished third at the Danville Invitational.
