Boys’ basketball

Ballard’s Twany Beckham had 29 points and 11 rebounds in an 89-66 win over Pleasure Ridge Park in the first round of the Louisville Invitational Tournament on Wednesday. He had another double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 77-66 win over Bryan Station in the semifinals on Saturday before the Bruins beat Doss in the final that night.

Jeff Brooks had 28 points and 17 rebounds for Doss in a 76-58 win over Caldwell County in the first round of the LIT on Tuesday, and he had another double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds in a 55-42 win over Jeffersontown in the quarterfinals on Friday. He then scored 23 points in a 56-53 win over Warren Central in the semifinals on Saturday.

Fairdale’s Reggie Smith scored 26 points in a 66-63 win over Elizabethtown in the first round of the LIT on Wednesday.

Brown’s Keith Williams exploded for 35 points in a 74-73 overtime loss to Frankfort on Monday, and teammate Chris Williams scored 24 in a 72-49 win over Portland Christian on Friday.

Collegiate’s Jack Galloway had a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 59-54 win over Deming on Saturday.

Beth Haven’s Cory Lacefield scored 26 points in a 76-59 loss to North Oldham on Friday.

Jimmy Nauert scored 24 points for Holy Cross in a 71-52 win over Portland Christian on Monday.

Evangel’s Derrick Sheppard scored 23 points in a 75-72 win over Kentucky Country Day, which got 24 points from Armani Randolph in the Monday game. Sheppard scored 22 more in a 73-65 win over Riverside Christian on Saturday.


Girls’ basketball

Manual’s Brittany Wilson had a triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals in a 64-36 win over Pike County Central on Saturday.

Assumption’s Lauren Huter also had a triple-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals in a 58-26 win over Male on Monday.

Atherton’s Samantha Coleman scored 22 points in a 60-19 win over Shawnee on Monday, and she had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 68-44 win over Spencer County on Friday.

Christian Academy’s Brooke Willoughby had a double-double with 18 points, including four free throws in the final 30 seconds, and 11 rebounds in a 57-52 win over Fairdale on Monday.

Fairdale’s Whitley Briggs scored 24 points in the loss to Christian Academy and scored 26 in a 58-52 win over Presentation on Thursday.

Pleasure Ridge Park’s Jersharra Willis scored 27 points in a 66-53 win over Jeffersontown on Tuesday.

Whitefield Academy’s Kristen McLaurin scored 23 points in a 75-39 win over St. Francis on Monday.

Kentucky Country Day’s Samantha Sweet had one double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 40-36 win over Sayre on Wednesday and had another with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 53-21 win over Eminence on Saturday.


Boys’ swimming

Trinity’s Andrew Galvagni won the Louisville Diving Invitational at the University of Louisville on Saturday.


Girls’ swimming

Male’s Lindsey Stephens won the Louisville Diving Invitational on Saturday.


Wrestling

Trinity teammates Myron Bradbury (103 pounds and Ben Case (140 pounds) won their respective weight classes as the Shamrocks finished second in the Big East Invitational at Eastern on Saturday. Mikal McNeely (145 pounds) and Ben Rupp (171 pounds) each won for Eastern.
