Assumption High School senior Karah Nall has signed a national letter of intent to play for the University of Louisville field hockey team.
Nall, who verbally committed to U of L last fall, also attracted interest from such national powers as Iowa, North Carolina, and Wake Forest.
"Karah's strong tackling abilities and dedication to the game have earned her a place on her hometown roster," U of L coach Pam Bustin said. "We are excited to develop Karah's game to the Division I level as she represents her University of Louisville."
Nall was a three-year starter in Assumption's midfield and won a state title with the Rockets in 2005. She also trained with the International Field Hockey Club of Kentucky and played for IFHCK Dynamic, which won a 19-and-under pool at the National Hockey Festival in November. She was voted to the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association High School All-Region team twice.
