Sacred Heart Academy senior Brittany Miller has made a verbal commitment to play field hockey at Michigan State University, according to Valkyries coach Liz Lewis.
Miller, a three-year starting goalkeeper for the state champion Valkyries, was the only Louisville player selected as a Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association High School All-American in December.
She will join former Sacred Heart player Michelle Ciliberti and fellow Louisvillians Gwen Riley (Manual) and Amy Schneider (Mercy) at Michigan State, which reached the NCAA semifinals in 2004 but finished 8-12 last season.
